Kill, kill, kill…. The white man
Reflect

I close my eyes and open wide
The symphony flows in perfect time
With every breath that I release
The delicate volume just increased

I’m tapping in, i’m tuning out
The fears and worry and all my doubt
Dissolve into a fading glow
The truth remains and starts to show

Every flower and every leaf
Every thorn or word I speak
Is intertwined with the divine
I catch my breath to ease my mind

The earth, the sun, the shining moon
Inspires us but far too soon
We start to sink, when we can glide
Forgetting who controls the tide

You write the book and on the page
Are all the moments that you’ve arranged
Every pulse & every beat
Every soul you could ever meet

The time is here, the time is now
Fill up your heart and take a bow
Feel one last breathe and let it grow
This life was only yours to know

Jerry had one of the most beautiful minds I’ve ever known. He would make connections between disparate thoughts and make them fit in harmonious ways. And his music was a lot like that also. It was paradoxical. He had that shit-between-the-toes, barnyard, down-home funkiness, and at the same time he could play the farthest-out spacey shit. He was always a source of wonder. When he played, it would be this endless stream of glorious melody.
